Guess what this beautiful room is?
YES-YES-YES! It’s our newly fixed up on-call room!
We had a little money leftover after the repair works, which we already used for a couch (2100 UAH), but we still need a wardrobe, two tables and four chairs.
Thank you everyone who participated in our initiative! Oksana — thank you for the great doors. Sergey — for the window. Two Nikolays from Agromat store — for help with the bathroom fittings. Sergey and Tatiana — advertising support. Big thatnks to the members META forum and everyone-everyone-everyone — hope we didn’t forget anyone!
As for the construction workers — they got their kisses in advance :)))

1/8/13 Update
The work has started!
I am already imagining what the room will look like: tiles — dark blue, wall paint — pink, linoleum — beige! It will be great!
The window — construction workers will take measurement tomorrow and the window should get to the Clinic on Tuesday. We really-really need to figure something out with the doors.

20/7/13 Update

YAY! We have great news — we already have a full construction team of volunteers — guys from the Protestant Church. The foremen — father of many children! They are finishing up work on a different site, after which they will donate 3-4 days of their time and expertise to the Clinic. We do need to buy all the materials first, though. This is the estimate:

Aside from this, we will also need help with the purchase of the furniture.

We’re collecting everything in Kiev. Either new or in very good condition. Who has what? Let us know! :))

Repairs for a kiss :)) Looking for construction work volunteers!

Right now all our limited funds are spent on the children’s treatment, but we do need to have some work done on the on-call room of the intensive care unit.

Room parameters: width — 2.6m, length — 5.7m, height — 3m. Work to be done: put in new linoleum, putty and paint the walls, put in new window and door, replace the old wiring…

The work needs to be clean, neat and quick — this is a surgical floor.

We’re in great need of a skilled set of hands and a couple of donated days. We would pay with a huge ‘thank you’! And a kiss (on a cheek) from our volunteers :)) Below is the picture of the volunteers :))

Anyone willing to purchase the materials gets two kisses! :)))
