This is the first time we have come across such a case. We know this will raise a lot of questions, but we’re giving you all the information we can.
Vika was born by c-section to a disabled mother. The mother is unable to take care of the child. A few months ago, some kind people found Vika’s mother — pregnant, hungry and unwashed, and helped her find a place to stay, a hospital and are currently assisting her in finding rehabilitation.
Vika is currently with us — at the Institute of Neurosurgery. She has several surgeries and intense treatment ahead of her. In the past two days, we have already spend 7,000 UAH ($300) on her treatment — taken from the funds we have raised for children in need of emergency treatment. We think her treatment is going to cost approximately 60,000 UAH ($2,600). However, due to her difficult condition, the cost of treatment may be higher…

The surgery was scheduled for Tuesday…
Last night Vika passed away… May she rest in peace… At least she is not hurting anymore…
All funds raised for Vika’s treatment will be used for another orphan child with neurosurgical disabilities.
