We know Zhenya for over a year now! He’s our old friend from the orphanage in Chernihiv region. The first time we met him, he captured our hearts with his ability to eat from the spoon in his sleep :)))
Zhenya’s shunt placement surgery took place in Chernihiv. We have later brought him to Kiev a couple of times to see the orthopedist and neurologist. Lately the child started having episodes accompanied by vomiting, which is why Zhenya was brought for a checkup to the Institute of Neurosurgery yesterday (they didn’t bring clothes or food for a long stay), but were immediately admitted. Shunt is malfunctioning :((( We will know the date of the surgery and the amount to be raised soon.
Our ‘Agents 031′ volunteer group has taken on the task of feeding Zhenya and his nanny. Huge thanks go out to the group, since given the situation, food was needed urgently.
