Anton was urgently taken into surgery, it couldn’t wait. Anton is from a low-income family, his parents were not ready financially for the surgery. Anton’s mother called during the night, and only because the doctors persuaded her that we would help, knowing what’s ahead and understanding the complexity of the diagnosis and the surgery. The parents did not believe that anyone would help them…
We did not have time for a fundraiser. We purchased everything with the money from the ‘emergencies fund’. The surgery went on for five hours. We have spent 12,000 UAH ($520), but we will still need 5,000 UAH ($220) for the medication. Thanks to G-d and the doctors — the surgery went well and Anton has been transferred back to his room the next day.

12/8/15 Update
The surgery went well, stitches were removed, treatment at the Institute is done. Anton is feeling much better and has been discharged to go home for the coming rehabilitation.
