When children get to the Institute of Neurosurgery, they live there for months, while getting treatment. Furniture, equipment, even bedding gets used very intensely. We bought new linens just a couple of years ago…and we already need to replace it. We cannot expect parents to haul their own sheets to the hospital, especially considering that most of them are coming from out of town.

Friends, pictured are about 960 meters of fabric of two kids (125*150 cm and 120*155cm). Great cotton fabric for our big Pediatric Department. And all of this fabric was a GIFT! We don’t even know the words to express how grateful we are to the Aksel Partners and its employees for such a huge and important gift! There are virtually no linens left at the Institute. And the fundraiser for the ready sets wasn’t moving at all… We didn’t deal with all the organizational issues on time, but we have taken the fabric to the Yaroslav factory already where they will make bedding sets for especially for our new, functional beds!

We contacted several manufacturers. The cheapest one turned out to be “Yaroslav”. They even gave us a 20% discount!
We chose two kinds of bright, happy “Winnie the Pooh” sets; so the kids would like them smile emoticon
Total cost of the 80 sets — 25,092 UAH (313 UAH/set) ($1,200, $15/set), while the retail price is 404 UAH ($20). They’ve agreed to start sewing the sets after prepayment of 50%. The invoice is in the picture below.
