On December 29th, Margarita and her mother were on their to the New Year’s show at Margarita’s kindergarden, where she was supposed to be a princess. Her Mom was pulling her on a sledge and carrying the costume alongside the road.
Visibility was good. The mother didn’t notice or her anything until suddenly something threw her forward. When she managed to get up and turn around, she saw her daughter covered in blood under a truck wheel.
Being in shock and yelling at the driver she pulled her daughter form under the truck and ran with her to the clinic — the closest medical facility. They called an ambulance there and took here to the town hospital first and then to Kiev, since they don’t have pediatric neurosurgeons in Cherhihiv region. The child has many injuries of the skull and her upper jaw is broken.
Margarita is in the ICU at the Ohmatdet in critical conditions. She has had surgery is currently in a medically induced coma.
Her attending surgeon asked us for help. We have already bought some of the medication (Cerebrocurin, Resource Junior…) from the «emergency kids» fund, depleting it completely. The mom is still in the state of sock, sits by the ICU doors all day long, believes and prays, that her Margarita will pull through.
